Selma Schauls took her degree from the Music Academy in Zagreb. She has been teaching music since 1986. After teaching piano in Croatia, she started giving music lessons in Luxembourg in 1989. She was a music teacher in a secondary school in Vauban and in a primary school in Roeser. In the Yamaha School of Music she had the chance to become acquainted with their famous teaching method and acquired three years of experience in teaching the keyboard in groups. She has also given courses for very young children, starting from the age of four, as well as to primary school children, adolescents and adults.
As far as her artistic career is concerned, she has participated in a number of cultural events, presenting the songs and music of her country of origin, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2002 she released her first CD entitled SEVDAH DE LUXE. The CD was a part of the cultural project whose aim was to support the reconstruction of the Old Bridge of Mostar, her native town.
